Skippers Fish Shop is a floating seafood takeaway shop located in St Helens, approximately 165km east of Launceston. Skippers has views of the water and boats, so the boardwalk area and neighbouring grassy areas are lovely spots to eat your meal.  The seafood is excellent quality and the cooked meals are cooked to perfection. We've enjoyed a number of meals from Skippers, and each time the seafood has been treated with great respect. It's easy to see why Skippers is always busy. The staff are friendly and efficient, so you never have to wait long for your order. The battered fish is always juicy and flaky while the crumbed calamari are tender and generous in size.  The crumbed or battered coating is crispy and adds great texture. The Waterfront Hotel's bistro overlooks the picturesque Kangaroo Bay.  Diners can choose to sit in the indoor dining room or on the balcony, which is enclosed by strong clear plastic to protect diners from the weather, while sill allowing diners to take in the view. The extensive menu is complemented by an ever-changing specials board, so diners are bound to find something that tickles their fancy. The pub loaf with dukkah, extra virgin olive oil and garlic butter is a great way to start a meal at The Waterfront. The pub loaf is fresh and warm and has plenty of accompaniments, so you shouldn't run out. The garlic pizza has loads of cheese and garlic and is great to share between a few people.
