Glamping 148 Degrees Tasmania is located in St Helens, approximately 165km East of Launceston. Glamping 148 Degrees forms part of Big4 St Helens Holiday Park and offers visitors a unique and fun style of accommodation. If you're not familiar with the term "glamping", it refers to "glamorous camping" and while the outside of the glamping tent resembles a large safari tent you'd expect to find on the African plains, the interior resembles a hotel room. As you walk into the glamping area of the holiday park (which is only accessible by those staying in the glamping area), you are greeted by lots of large, earthy sandstone blocks and beautifully landscaped natural gardens. The tents are made from a combination of canvas and timber and look very sturdy. The tents are adorably named after Tasmanian regions and we stayed in the "Mersey" tent which overlooks the lush grassy area and dam.
