Derwent Cliffs & Bicentennial Track
PUFF-O-METRE Level 1 out of 5 - Easy OVERVIEW This is a trail that allows you to see some of the best parts of New Norfolk while avoiding traffic for most of the walk. It's located in New Norfolk which is a town 35km North-West of Hobart. The trail can be started and finished at any point as it's a loop around most of the town and parklands. We started our walk from the caravan park on the River Derwent as that's where we were staying for the weekend. From there, you head through the town to take in the history and its older buildings. Once you meet the Lachlan River, the trail follows this natural pathway until it meets the River Derwent. While walking along the Lachlan River section, you'll enjoy an off lead dog park, a community veggie garden and a large parkland that has kids entertainment such as a bike park.
