Customs House Hotel Restaurant Customs House Hotel Restaurant is located in the heart of Hobart's historic waterfront area. Known for being a popular watering hole for thirsty sailors after completing the infamous Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race, the beautiful sandstone venue overlooks the River Derwent and provides both indoor and outdoor bars, accommodation and a restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We get the feeling this restaurant is sometimes overlooked by locals due to its popularity with tourists and sailors, however having eaten dinner at the restaurant a couple of times in recent months, we can wholeheartedly say the food is absolutely delicious and well worth a visit.
