Lakeside Tourist Caravan Park is located in Eugenana, approximately 10km South-West of Devonport and 103km North-West of Launceston.





  Lakeside Tourist Caravan Park is a peaceful, bushy tourist park that offers powered, unpowered and ensuite sites, as well as cabin accommodation.

Dogs are welcome to stay with their owners on the powered, unpowered and ensuite sites.

Lakeside has direct access to a creek that flows from the Don River. Guests can swim and kayak in the creek, or simply sit back and listen to the sounds of nature.

The park is situated next to Eugenana Lake, which used to be an old quarry.

The owners of Lakeside Tourist Caravan Park are really friendly and judging by the amount of time, money and effort they are investing in the park, we think this caravan park is one to watch. The owners have cleared a considerable amount of vegetation to maximise views and usage of the creek.

The sites are spacious in size and there are lots of powered sites. 

We think the sites next to the lake and the creek have the nicest outlook.

The cabins are lovely and modern.

The camp kitchen has recently been renovated and has lovely new appliances, including two freestanding oven/stoves, kettle, toaster, microwave, large fridge and plenty of pots, pans and utensils.

Adjacent to the camp kitchen is a communal lounge area which has a wood fire, seating, dining tables and television.

The showers and toilets are clean and well maintained and the laundry also has new coin-operated washing machines and dryers. 

There's even a washing machine dedicated to washing dog blankets and mats.

There are seats and undercover seating/dining areas dotted throughout the park, as well as a playground to keep the kids occupied.

The mobile phone reception throughout the park is patchy, but fortunately there is a phone box to ensure you can make phone calls while staying there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lakeside Tourist Caravan Park and can't wait to visit again.

  Drift Away Organic Shack is a peaceful retreat for two located in Police Point, approximately 73km south of Hobart. Ideal for a couple, this cute studio has stunning views of the Huon River. The shack is located on the owner's residential property, but as the main house is set well behind the shack, the house and its inhabitants go unnoticed.  Crescent Bay, Mount Brown and Remarkable Cave PUFF-O-METRE   THEN OVERVIEW This is a beautiful day walk that follows some rugged coast line, stunning views and ends at a gorgeous beach with huge dunes. It starts at a large carpark, but it needs to be as this area is a very popular location. The carpark has a lovely viewing platform for some of the coastal cliffs. It also has shelter and public toilets available. Before setting off towards Crescent Bay, it's worth the ten minute delay to head down the staircase to enjoy the view at the Remarkable Cave. It's a bit like a horizontal blowhole however it's far more open therefore you don't get the big burst of water upwards. With that done, it's time to head along the other track towards Crescent Bay. This track is a bit up and down however the elevation doesn't change more than 20m so at no stage does it feel overwhelming.
