Apricus Launceston is located in Norwood, approximately 6km East of Launceston.

Apricus is a beautiful restaurant that has expansive views over the lush green wetlands.

Diners can choose to dine outside in the sunshine, inside in the restaurant or in the alfresco lounge area which is adjacent to the formal restaurant area.

Apricus is situated next to, and overlooks, Old Mac's Caravan and Motorhome Farmstay. Diners are welcome to visit the farm animals, which is great fun for the whole family.

We noticed that Apricus was popular with local families, tourists, as well as travellers staying at Old Mac's Caravan and Motorhome Farmstay.

Pooches are also welcome to dine in the outside area, and there's even a special menu designed for dogs, which includes treats such as pupsicles, chewy cheese puffs and pup-kin bones.

We had our pup Bella with us, so we dined outside.

There are lots of birdlife wandering about the grounds, including a very friendly, inquisitive duck who decided to join us for a drink!

For breakfast we had beautifully poached eggs with bacon, haloumi and hash browns.

We also had mushroom bruschetta, which was a top-notch dish.

The feta cheese, garlic and chilli complemented the sauteed assorted mushrooms well and the crispy turkish bread provided great crunch. This was a really tasty dish.

The pancakes with choc fudge and ice cream were a delight.

The pancakes were light and fluffy and the choc fudge was rich and thick.

We also had juice, chai lattes and iced chocolates with our breakfast and they were all outstanding.

For lunch we had the chicken burger with fries and the steak sandwich special.

The chicken burger was really tasty - the gochujang chicken was crispy on the outside, yet still beautifully tender.

The steak sandwich had a tasty caramelised onion, capsicum and chilli relish which provided heat and flavour.

To accompany our lunch, we opted for the mango tango and the "Fun on the Beach" mocktails which were fruity and refreshing.

If you're travelling with a caravan, there's plenty of parking for oversized vehicles.

We were really impressed with the food, decor and views at Apricus Launceston, so the next time you're in the area, pop down and have a meal - we think you'll love the whole experience.
