Nadine's at Pipers
Nadine's at Pipers is a café located in the Pipers Brook Vineyard cellar door at Pipers Brook, approximately 58km North of Launceston.
Nadine's at Pipers offers indoor seating as well as outdoor seating in a sunny courtyard.
Pets are welcome to join their owners in the outdoor courtyard.
The menu showcases a variety of seasonal main meals including creamy seafood chowder and rich red wine Tasmanian beef cheeks, however Nadine's is best known for its generous and stunning platters.
We opted for the Tasmanian grazing platter for two which was nothing short of sensational and easily the best platter we've ever enjoyed.
The grazing platter featured a generous serving of local cheeses, pesto dip, prosciutto, salami, prawns, smoked salmon, lightly toasted bread, nuts, seasonal fruit and homemade delights including smoked duck breast and caramelised onion, arancini, spicy capsicum stuffed mushrooms, duck spring rolls, mini quiches, pinot poached pear and chocolate brownies.
The food on the grazing platter was satisfying and filling.
We loved the duck spring rolls, which had an unbeatable combination of outer crispiness with a soft, sweet and flavoursome duck filling.
We also really enjoyed the spicy capsicum stuffed mushrooms, which were juicy and had a nice amount of heat.
The smoked duck breast with caramelised onion was a unique but welcome addition to the grazing platter. The duck was tender and pink and the caramelised onion was beautifully sweet.
The pinot poached pear on the platter was gloriously soft and melted in our mouth. It really showed us that every other poached pear we've had is sub-standard as we finally understand why people love poached pears!
We loved the food at Nadine's at Pipers and can't wait to get back there.
We thoroughly recommend you head over there to enjoy a meal or a platter and a wine tasting, which you can do while sitting at your table enjoying the delicious food.
