Coningham Clifftop Track

PUFF-O-METRE

Overview

This track has 2 starting points, one at Coningham Beach off Coningham Road and the other at the other end of Coningham Road at the Coningham Point carpark. For this blog post we started our walk at Coningham Beach, went round to the other carpark and then returned. If you wanted to make this track a shorter walk then you could have a vehicle at either end.

This is a dog friendly, on lead, track however if you're starting at the Coningham Beach end you will need to walk the first 100m by the footpath on Coningham Road as the beach is not dog friendly.

The traffic is a mixture of crafted steps, gravel track, leafy foliage track and rocks. There's very little elevation change however there are two short sections that have you climb fairly steeply.

At the southern end of the track there used to be a section that was 100m of steep elevation change however this has since been removed from the trail by a deviation along a flatter section.

The track itself boasts some stunning views, whether it be Coningham Beach and Legacy Beach or simply looking off the cliff faces at Bruny Island and Mount Wellington.
