Snug Beach Cabin & Caravan Park

Snug Beach Cabin & Caravan Park is a waterfront caravan park located in Snug, approximately 24km south of Hobart.

The caravan park is well-positioned to allow guests to explore Tassie's southern region and Bruny Island.

The caravan park has direct access to Snug Beach and North West Bay, making it an ideal location if you love walking along the beach, swimming and kayaking.

There are two locations about 100m up the road (separate to the caravan park) to launch small watercraft such as dinghies.

Snug Beach Cabin & Caravan Park offers cabins to suit different sizes of travelling parties and budgets, powered sites and tent sites.

Pets are welcome to stay in the powered sites and free form camping area.

Please note however, dogs are not permitted in the cabins or on Snug Beach.

Some of the cabins and powered sites have glimpses of North West Bay.

The free form camping area has direct access to Snug Beach and is suitable for tents and vehicles that don't require power.

We loved the free form camping area and would stay in that area again.

The amenities are clean, modern and well-maintained.

There is a coin-operated laundry and a huge camp kitchen which guests can use.

The camp kitchen has a wood fire, fridge, couches, dining tables, a television and indoor gas barbeques and is large enough to accommodate a few groups without feeling overcrowded.

Wood for the wood fire in the camp kitchen is provided.

There is a smaller barbeque hut located in a different part of the caravan park and there are also plenty of benches throughout the caravan park.

Snug Beach Cabin & Caravan Park has a lovely, relaxed feel to it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

  Drift Away Organic Shack is a peaceful retreat for two located in Police Point, approximately 73km south of Hobart. Ideal for a couple, this cute studio has stunning views of the Huon River. The shack is located on the owner's residential property, but as the main house is set well behind the shack, the house and its inhabitants go unnoticed.  Crescent Bay, Mount Brown and Remarkable Cave PUFF-O-METRE   THEN OVERVIEW This is a beautiful day walk that follows some rugged coast line, stunning views and ends at a gorgeous beach with huge dunes. It starts at a large carpark, but it needs to be as this area is a very popular location. The carpark has a lovely viewing platform for some of the coastal cliffs. It also has shelter and public toilets available. Before setting off towards Crescent Bay, it's worth the ten minute delay to head down the staircase to enjoy the view at the Remarkable Cave. It's a bit like a horizontal blowhole however it's far more open therefore you don't get the big burst of water upwards. With that done, it's time to head along the other track towards Crescent Bay. This track is a bit up and down however the elevation doesn't change more than 20m so at no stage does it feel overwhelming.
