 Hogarth Falls

PUFF-O-METRE

OVERVEW

While Strahan has a number of beautiful walks along the coastline, this one is slightly hidden away but takes you to a magnificent little waterfall. The start of the track is less than a KM from the main road of Strahan and starts inside the lovely Peoples Park.

It's a relaxed track that people of all ages and abilities can manage. It's even pram/wheelchair friendly until the last 100m when the track narrows a little and then there are stairs down to the base of the waterfall. If neither of these two obstacles dampen your desire then maybe it's still achievable.

Any of the areas that cross over waterways or areas that are prone to flooding, are overcome thanks to some wide and well built bridges. These bridges not only elevate you above the water but they also have fake grass added to help with water dispersal.

Throughout the walk, you get the pleasure of thick foliage at both ground level and as a canopy to shield you from the sunshine. There are pockets of open tree canopy at times that allow areas to be bathed in sunshine which completely contrasts the rest of the wilderness.

The waterfall is a lovely location for a moment to yourself or to share. There is ample seating whether it be on the fallen trees or the staircase that leads to the base of the waterfall.
