Low Head Tourist Park is a lovely, quiet tourist park located in the coastal township of Low Head at the mouth of the Tamar River, approximately 53km north of Launceston.

With the river just across the road from the entrance, this well maintained park boasts gorgeous water views to the front of the property and peaceful rural views to the rear of the property. 

You can watch the colours change as the sun sets over the water in the evening and wake up to the tranquil sounds of sheep grazing on the neighbouring property out the back.

The park has a range of accommodation options - cottages and cabins for those who like their creature comforts. Powered ensuite sites, powered sites, unpowered sites and basic unpowered sites are available for those travelling with caravans, camper trailers, motorhomes, tents and swags.

Pets are welcome in the powered and unpowered sites.

The toilets and showers are clean and modern. Access to the main toilet and shower block is protected by pin code and access to the two ensuites is limited to those guests staying in the ensuite sites.

There is a playground to occupy the kids, an undercover communal barbeque area, indoor camp kitchen with fridge, stove, oven, kettle, toaster, microwave and sink, disability/reduced mobility toilet and shower and a coin-operated laundry with washing machines and dryers.

Low Head Tourist Park is affiliated with Big 4 Holiday Parks, so members can receive Big 4 benefits.

There is plenty to do at Low Head and nearby George Town - swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking walking, bike riding, penguin tours, exploring Low Head Maritime Museum / The Pilot Station and enjoying delicious meals at nearby cafes and restaurants.

Low Head Tourist Park is neat, clean and on the smaller size, so even during peak periods, you don't feel overwhelmed by the number of guests.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous park and we'll definitely be back!

  Drift Away Organic Shack is a peaceful retreat for two located in Police Point, approximately 73km south of Hobart. Ideal for a couple, this cute studio has stunning views of the Huon River. The shack is located on the owner's residential property, but as the main house is set well behind the shack, the house and its inhabitants go unnoticed.  Crescent Bay, Mount Brown and Remarkable Cave PUFF-O-METRE   THEN OVERVIEW This is a beautiful day walk that follows some rugged coast line, stunning views and ends at a gorgeous beach with huge dunes. It starts at a large carpark, but it needs to be as this area is a very popular location. The carpark has a lovely viewing platform for some of the coastal cliffs. It also has shelter and public toilets available. Before setting off towards Crescent Bay, it's worth the ten minute delay to head down the staircase to enjoy the view at the Remarkable Cave. It's a bit like a horizontal blowhole however it's far more open therefore you don't get the big burst of water upwards. With that done, it's time to head along the other track towards Crescent Bay. This track is a bit up and down however the elevation doesn't change more than 20m so at no stage does it feel overwhelming.
