Low Head East Beach Walk

 Low Head East Beach Walk

PUFF-O-METRE

OVERVIEW

This is a lovely coastal walk that can change dramatically depending on what time of the day you approach it. If you hike it at high tide then you'll spend most of your time on the inland tracks or rock hopping at the higher coastal points. If you hike it on a low tide then you can enjoy the experience as a beach walk from start to finish.

It isn't a tough track in terms of elevation at any point however since its a 8+km hike, that can make it more challenging due to its length. It's also worth noting that you'll be walking on sand therefore that works you a bit harder than a dirt track.

The point has a fantastic elevated area that's flat to allow for relaxing and consuming a meal before the hike back. There are also a couple of locations that would make a great spot for camping that keeps you well away from high tide while keeping those beautiful water views.
