Honey Badger Dessert Café is located in Salamanca Square, Battery Point (Hobart).

The café is located in the middle of the Square overlooking the fountain with indoor and outdoor tables available. The alfresco dining area provides a lovely spot, particularly on a sunny day, to sit back and relax while indulging in a sweet treat (or two!).

In case the name hadn't already tipped you off, the Honey Badger specialises in all things sweet; pancakes, waffles, croffles (the lovechild of a croissant and a waffle), cheesecake, crumble, puddings and panookies (cookie dough baked in a flat cast iron skillet).

All of the desserts are beautifully presented, adorned with delectable toppings such as ice cream, whipped cream, sauces, compotes, fruit, curds, nuts and fairy floss but importantly, they are well-balanced to ensure they're not sickly sweet. 

The beverages are amazing too - the hot chocolate tastes like you are drinking pure, melted chocolate and the chocolate milkshake is creamy and has cubes of chocolate brownie peeking through it's whipped cream hat.

If you're not in the mood for sweets, fear not, the Honey Badger has you covered, with half a dozen equally mouthwatering savoury options on the menu ranging from bacon and eggs, chicken and croffle to crispy savoury pancake.

 Crescent Bay, Mount Brown and Remarkable Cave PUFF-O-METRE   THEN OVERVIEW This is a beautiful day walk that follows some rugged coast line, stunning views and ends at a gorgeous beach with huge dunes. It starts at a large carpark, but it needs to be as this area is a very popular location. The carpark has a lovely viewing platform for some of the coastal cliffs. It also has shelter and public toilets available. Before setting off towards Crescent Bay, it's worth the ten minute delay to head down the staircase to enjoy the view at the Remarkable Cave. It's a bit like a horizontal blowhole however it's far more open therefore you don't get the big burst of water upwards. With that done, it's time to head along the other track towards Crescent Bay. This track is a bit up and down however the elevation doesn't change more than 20m so at no stage does it feel overwhelming.
