Hobart Town Tea Rooms is located in the heart of the Hobart CBD.

If you enjoy finger sandwiches, scones jam and cream and "teapot tea" served in fine bone china (basically the grown-up version of a child's tea party), this delightful tea room is the place for you.

The perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, this little gem is known for its excellent value, scrumptious high teas and is fast becoming a Hobart institution.

High tea consists of the traditional three-tiered cake stand delicately decorated with: club chicken, club ham and cucumber sandwiches, freshly baked scones with jam and whipped cream, bite-sized brownies, shortbread and chocolates, as well as a pot of tea or plunger coffee per person (tea connoisseurs can choose from some 22 different types of tea) and a generous slice of one of the mouthwatering cakes from the display cabinet.

Patrons can also enjoy light meals from the a la carte menu such as cucumber circles, club sandwiches, bone broth soup, open top toasted fingers and deliciously light and fluffy scones with jam and cream.

The owners are welcoming and accommodating and provide a lovely atmosphere where you can enjoy satisfying homecooked meals with a touch of class and a nod to our British roots.

Hobart Town Tea Rooms forms part of Hobart Town Tea Co, which specialises in fine bone china tea sets and organic tea products, so after enjoying your meal, you can purchase your very own tea sets and tea to take home.

 Crescent Bay, Mount Brown and Remarkable Cave PUFF-O-METRE   THEN OVERVIEW This is a beautiful day walk that follows some rugged coast line, stunning views and ends at a gorgeous beach with huge dunes. It starts at a large carpark, but it needs to be as this area is a very popular location. The carpark has a lovely viewing platform for some of the coastal cliffs. It also has shelter and public toilets available. Before setting off towards Crescent Bay, it's worth the ten minute delay to head down the staircase to enjoy the view at the Remarkable Cave. It's a bit like a horizontal blowhole however it's far more open therefore you don't get the big burst of water upwards. With that done, it's time to head along the other track towards Crescent Bay. This track is a bit up and down however the elevation doesn't change more than 20m so at no stage does it feel overwhelming.
