Cataract Gorge Easy Walk

Cataract Gorge Easy Walk

PUFF-O-METRE

OVERVIEW

This is a stunning walk that takes you along Launceston's iconic Cataract Gorge. It starts across the bridge from the Penny Royal. There is a track that starts next to the Penny Royal, called the Zig Zag track, however this will be covered at a later date.

As you walk along the Gorge, you're blown away by the strength of mother nature. We covered this track on a low flow level but there were constant reminders of times that the water was high and raging!

The track is easy going and has been tarmacked all the way to the cafe. As you walk the loop from the cafe, over the bridges, and back to the cafe, the track is gravel but still more than capable of handling a pram. It can be slippery under foot though so perhaps avoid this part if you're unsteady on your feet.

The cafe and restaurant are delightful places to enjoy a meal at while taking in the breathtakingly beautiful views.
