Adamsons Falls Track
Adamsons Falls Track
PUFF-O-METRE
OVERVIEW
On the surface, it looks like there are a number of ways to access the start of this track however, on closer inspection, there really isn't. Chestermans Road looks like the most direct path to the carpark via Hastings Caves however this isn't a viable path unless you're in a very prepared four wheel drive. For those that have less capable vehicles, I advise to take the following roads. Turn right off the Huon Highway about 3km after crossing the Esperance River. From here, there are road markings to direct you to the carpark but I'll give you the roads you'll be taking anyway: take Darcy Link, left onto Creekton Road, right onto Coal Hill Road and right onto Chestermans Road. Take this road till the end which is where the carpark is and the start of Adamsons Falls Track.
Most of this track is easy going with very little elevation until the last section where you meet the base of the waterfalls. It is possible to follow a track up to the second level of the falls however it's a rather demanding task so please be aware of this while being well equipped.
As is the case with a lot of waterfall tracks, they are wet by nature due to being often a pathway for the water run off from the waterfall you're seeking. This track is no exception so expect to be shin deep in mud if you plan to tackle this track in the winter. Winter should give the best results of a spectacular view at the end but if mud isn't your thing then maybe go in the warmer months whilst knowing that the end goal will be less impressive.
