 THEN

OVERVIEW

This is a unique track in that it is really two tracks in one. Parking and the start of the track are found at the end of Myrtle Forest Road. There is plenty of parking available however it's not trailer friendly.

The first 800m is a relax, wide gravel road that allows access for vehicles to reach the picnic area if they have a key to open the boom gate. 500m into the track, you get to enjoy a small sample of little waterfalls as you cross Myrtle Forest creek via a gravel bridge.

Once at the picnic area, there is access to shelter, picnic tables, tank water and a toilet. The tank water has a warning that you can use at your own risk. This is where dogs can be brought to however they aren't allowed to go any further along the track. There once was road access to other parts of the Wellington Park from here however, at the time of writing this blog, access was closed due to track maintenance.

Once leaving the picnic area, the track increases in difficulty and turns into a single lane track. It's a further 800m and you'll come to the man made landing overlooking Myrtle Forest Falls. These falls have a number of different levels to be enjoyed from and are spectacular whether in full flow or low on water. You will also pass a number of smaller falls on your way to seeing the main event.
