Hartz Mountains - Lake Osborne

OVERVIEW

An easy walk that starts at the entrance to the main carpark in the Hartz Mountains National Park. It has a slow climb up to the lake with a mixture of gravel track, stone steps and board walk. The first part has you walking through a canopy of trees until it opens up to plateau with your first views of the Hartz peak and Lake Osborne. There are a number of pine bench seats dotted along the track for rests while absorbing the best views along the path. On arrival at the lake, there are plenty of locations to take photographs of the landscape from different angles.
