Lobster Shack is located in Bicheno, approximately 178km north-east of Hobart and 160km south-east of Launceston. This casual dine-in and takeaway seafood eatery overlooks the ocean and has stunning views. Diners can choose from an array of seafood delicacies, such as freshly shucked oysters, crumbed Tassie scallops, traditional fish and chips, creamy seafood chowder and decadent seafood platters. The menu also features east coast Tasmanian wines, Tasmanian beer and cider, as well as plenty of non-alcoholic beverages. Being seafood lovers, we couldn't go past the hot and cold seafood platter. Packed with a Southern Rock Lobster half, tiger prawns, smoked salmon, pickled octopus, oysters Kilpatrick, crumbed Tasmanian fish, crumbed calamari, crispy chips, fresh salad and sauce, this platter did not disappoint!
